Great middle ground between a netbook and a full-size. Costly CPU fan fix.
PROS: Awesome little laptop. The 13.3 screen is a great compromise between a small netbook and a full-size laptop. This Sony is very light and portable, yet with all the features of a full-size, ie DVD-RW, SD slot, Pent M 1.7, 80 Gig HD. CONS: The CPU fan seems to have a history of noisiness & failure / including mine / and is very expensive to replace. The cheapest I've found is ~ $90 for the part alone. At this time that's ~ 1/2 the value of the laptop, if you do it yourself, and the laptop must be completely disassembled for the repair. SUMMARY: I have recommended this laptop to others.

New design better??
The stock coupler was completely plastic and broke into pieces after years of use. This new replacement coupler now has a steel inner ring that must be pounded onto 2 shafts. If this updated part fails like the original did, as it is still largely made of plastic, the average do-it-yourselfer like myself will need to purchase / borrow some type of 'sleeve puller' to remove this item...from both shafts. The original plastic coupler just broke into pieces and was very easy to remove when it failed, so I'm not sure if this is really an 'upgrade' or not. If the new one lasts forever, I guess it worked out fine. If not, it may be easier for guys like me to get a different washer. When I purchased this, original completely-plastic couplers were still listed for sale, so I guess that's a decision each do-it-yourselfer must make.

Nice shock replacements.
These shocks worked great for my Leer fiberglass topper. Leave new clips on the shock and pop into place. Just drove a few miles at 30mph with my rear topper door open (hauling items) and the door stayed open / didn't blow shut. Nice.
