I'm a hobo nickel carver. I've been carving hobo nickels since January of 2012. I've completed the American Numismatics Association course: Hobo Nickel Carving and Advanced Hobo Nickel Carving. In November of 2015 two of my Hobo Nickels, "Hobo Hitchhiker" and an Indian Head skull went on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of American History. My Great Uncle road the rails during the great depression and although he didn't carve any hobo nickels I'm sure he saw a few in his travels. It's an honor to keep up the tradition of hobo nickel carving. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
