Brian Clegg glue sticks
I've bought lots of glue sticks of different brands in the past and I would rate these Brian Clegg ones highest as the glue formulation is just right. I found other brands would disintigrate in use and leave a lot of residue around the applicator but these ones hold their form so there is no waste or mess.

Great solution if you don't want a full guard, keeps the worst of the debris off your frame. They're very thin so you can pull them snug with the tie wraps to fit the contour of your fork so you don't lose tyre clearance. Fitted to my Rock Shox Recon SLs fine. I was also able to fit one without any modification to the rear (seatstay bridge of a Specialized Camber)

More than just a spade
aside from the obvious purpose of digging holes or trenches I discovered this is very good for digging roots out. Because it's so rigid and has a sharp edge to the blade you can strike a root with it and gain purchase on the root then use the rigidity of the tool to lever the root out. Basically, for the money, just get one!
