- e***8 (3063)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseNot tried or tested the items yet as it was a speculative purchase that I have no immediate use for. However, based on the speed of delivery and quality and quantity of packaging for something that cost pennies, I can only praise the seller. Thank you.

Panasonic DMC-G1 12.1 Megapixel DIGITAL CAMERA BODY
4 of 4 found this helpful After having one of these cameras you wonder why you ever carried a hunking great SLR camera and lens around with you all day.
I have never really seen why a digital SLR with a APS-C sized sensor has to be so big, when you can get it in a much smaller package (ie Sigma DP1).
The Panasonic G1 has basically done away with the reflex mirror and prism and replaced it with a very good quality EVF (electronic viewfinder) of such a resolution to almost be as good as a reflex view.
As there is no mirror you get far more accurate focus as its focussing is done on the sensor rather than a secondary mirror/ fresnal screen which could be out by some degree, the sensor is closer to the front of the camera making it slimmer, and also compatible with any lens ever made using an adapter for cheaper lens choices. (The lenses supplied can be very expensive as of now but no doubt will come down as more are sold.)
It uses SD cards instead of oh dear I've bent the pins CF cards, It has practically all of the features (at least those that really matter) of any SLR out there, proper manual mode, hot shoe, etc.
Its also very quick to autofocus, switch on etc, no hanging around here.
The only thing it is lacking is a movie mode, but then buy a camcorder!! (Or the G2 if you can afford it).
The other possible problem I can see is the body has a rubberised finish which no doubt will rub off eventually and spoil the look, should have been a more "normal" plastic mottled finish.
I like it, have taken some very good pictures with it, if you can find one cheap buy it (as I did)
Digimaan.

Performs better than most for little money.
Unlike others i won't mention Kasperky Internet Security just gets on with the job of keeping you safe online without slowing your PC down doing so.
Price is right, simple to install, updates itself, no annoying silly pop ups.

Sony Ericsson W810i mobile phone
1 of 1 found this helpful This has to be one of the best phones I have ever had, built to take the knocks and not self destruct like the newer slim phones, had a 2 megapixel auto focus camera which takes great pictures, easy to use buttons and no silly joystick, takes the sensible sized memory stick pro cards which are less likely to get lost, does all its asked to do with no problems at all.
Recommended.
