4 Lava Cable Tightrope V2 Right Angle Plug For Tightrope Cable (LCTRPLG-4)
    Dec 17, 2018
Good quality but not without their frustrations.
The best thing about these plugs (besides not needing to solder) is their small profile. They're great if you're dealing with crowded I/O situations (I use them with a Boss ES-8 switcher which is very cramped). They're also less expensive than George L and seem to be on-par in terms of build quality. The downside is that compared to George L's cables/connectors they're very finicky when putting cables together - using them with Lava's Tightrope cable, if everything isn't cut exactly right there's a decent chance of getting a bad connection, particularly if you leave the cable core slightly too long. The plugs also tend to loosen on their own and you'll likely have to retighten them a couple times before they're good to go. Once you make a few you'll get the hang of it but this is extremely frustrating when you have to make a couple dozen cables for a large pedalboard. I'm still turning on my board and finding that one or two cables have loosened a bit since I last used it. Compare that to George L, in which you simply screw the cable in and it works perfectly right off the bad, and it's not the best. That said, once everything is up and running it's a good product.
