Big Beautiful Music
I'd like to share the following review, from Scott C. Smith:
"My introduction to Venus Hum came about through the Blue Man Group's album The Complex and the song "I feel love," sung beautifully by Annette Strean. I had no idea who Venus Hum were and was so impressed by their collaboration with Blue Man Group that I had to give a listen to Big Beautiful Sky. Electronic music is not dead!
Strean's lyrics are whimscal and she sounds like an angel. The electronic palette painted by Tony Miracle and Kip Kubin provide a spectacular backdrop to Annette's voice, covering a wide variety of electronica styles that reminds one of the great synth-pop bands of the 1980s, from Depeche Mode to Erasure, among other influences.
Some highlights: the opening track, "Hummingbirds," comes to life with a great synth line and drum beat, and the listener is introduced to Strean's voice, which sails through the song like a bird in flight. Beautiful.
"Soul Sloshing" reveal's Strean's whimsical lyrics to a minimalist electronic background.
"Wordless May" takes on a slower pace with some simple synth lines and drum beats. Another great showcase of Strean's voice.
"Bella Luna" closes out the album, another slow-paced track with beautiful singing from Strean.
Big Beautiful Sky is an album deserving of more attention to this talented trio from Nashville. A must-have for any record collection."

Heat anywhere there's a plug!
Lots of heat for the size. Infrared seems to work better than other means for heating outdoors. They do take up a lot of space once assembled. The heater that sits on the tripod is screwed on horizontally and cannot be twisted to be vertical. This "T" shape is very difficult to store, so just plan for that.
