Carb is Great, Plug Doesn't Fit
The carb and air filter are perfect matches for my mower. The primer check valve (between the bulb and the throat) on the old one had failed and is not serviceable. The spark plug however does not fit. The electrode / threads are way too long compared to the old one. No worries though, I got what I needed at a good value.

Easy Way to Avoid a Flood
For some reason the well water in my house eats water heaters. After too many floods I've learned that magnesium rods are far better than aluminum as the sacrificial anode. I replace the rod about every year when I can detect gases in the HW line spritzing during a shower - an indication of interior corrosive chemistry. The new rod stops that immediately, and the old rod comes out looking quite spent, its job well done. (See the pics after one year under water.) The design of four segments allows it to be installed under a low ceiling, but be sure to unbend the links so it hangs quite straight. This makes it much easier to start the threads on the fitting when when it' dangling inside the tank. I bought three this time to achieve the free shipping threshold and to prepare for the next few years.
