MCL Power Clean Dustless Blasting

This product has been around for a while now. I use it whenever I wet blast metals. It works very well as a blast pot additive and rinse agent. The key is to make sure there isn't residual blast media. Wet media, even with Hold tight, will oxidize if left on the surface too long. Considering what happens if you don't use a neutralizer like this, Hold Tight is your best option. If there is a negative, it's kind of like cough medicine. The directions are based off a minimum usage to market a large number of doses. It says take three tablespoons but it really takes 4 or 5 to make a difference. It's the same here, add 20% to the application chart and you'll be happy. If you use less than recommended, you'll be unhappy.

Does NOT fit Olds 455... Will not press in without damaging it.

It does not press fit the block at all. Destroyed it trying to press it in, even after grinding the center bevel a little to lighten the friction fit. I ended up putting the cheap moroso junk back in for now. $30 down the drain...

They fit but you'll have some time in modifications.

The build quality is good and the chrome finish is nice. I purchased this set for 1970 Cutlass Supreme SX. The actual fit is close but these are not direct bolt on. The screw locations are off a bit and both pieces had to be ground on the back corners to fit properly. The down bend is also off and it causes the hood tongue to be tilted in way too far. Both pieces had to be twist/bent to get a correct fit. I expect this level modification on cheaper items, but the cost of these is excessive and should be more refined. Not many options out there so I recommend them if you are desperate like I was. Overall disappointed...
