Professional and intuitive
2 of 2 found this helpful I’ve used 2 Kong i40m’s for the last 20 years before purchasing the Roland BK5m a few years ago.The first thing I noticed was the very professional sounds and styles along with cutting edge vocal harmonies. There are extensive editing parameters for sounds and styles along with appropriate intros, endings, variations and pads. The touch screen makes real time changes easier and the keyboard action is very solid. The draw bars make the organ more realistic. I use the EC5 pedal extensively and the PAX4 is the only arranger that can make use of this pedal, with the exception of the Roland BK5m with a modified cable. I also use the ensemble button often. The navigation system is intuitively organized and optimized for live playing. I’m still getting used to the styles and applying the best style for the tunes in my repertoire. I also like the independence between the styles and the keyboard sets in that I can apply my favorite keyboard sets to any style I choose. Hence the 5 stars.

Small but with a large sound.
Better than advertised by Mackie. Plenty of power to serve as a close or near field monitor. The quality is standard Mackie. I may also use this as an emergency sound system for smaller rooms.
