Does an outstanding job
After a lot of research, I decided on this camera for extreme close-ups, and I am more than satisfied. I find I am using this S630 for most of my snapshots now. Very good quality and a lot of control over features. The 12 megapixels lets you crop down to small areas and still keep good resolution. Important and often used features are accessed with one button, rather that searching through a menu. It won't replace my regular camera, a Nikon D70S for important shooting where I need total control, but the convenience, quality, and features of the S630 will be in my pocket when I need it! I've had no problems, but am very careful with the little door that covers the battery and SD card...it seems fragile.
