Handy for Lefties
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my second one of these ambi bolt releases from Troy, which I've paired on my two ARs with the Troy Ambi mag releases. Though one may compare this item to the Magpul ambi release, which appears to function almost identically, the Troy is somewhat less expensive and works flawlessly. Easy to install on a standard left-side bolt release lever, it took all of 5 minutes to accomplish. It seems to be of quality construction, and looks good without getting in the way of normal operation. For lefty shooters, this is a "must have" item to make quick manipulation of bolt lockback and release possible. That's especially the case if you've also added an ambidextrous charging handle (I like the Bravo Co. handle, but there are others). If you shoot left-handed and compete at any level, or even if you just want the ability to quickly and safely control your bolt lockback (and by this, I mean without having to change hands and possibly muzzle sweep yourself or others), this is the way to go.

Not much to say: a simple piece of steel, easy to install, inexpensive. Shipped quickly. If you have a one-point sling and no integral attachment point on your AR, this will do the trick.

Quick delivery, product just as ordered. While replacement isn't a 5 minute snap, the battery itself works great once you remove 22 tiny screws, remove the back of the Acer laptop, unplug and replace the old battery, and put everything back together again.
