WXPN did some big electric shows after the first few World Cafe CDs. this vol. 10 has some of those wondefull early shows from 2000. really bassy mix on some tracks ... check your settings. ***** 2: Richard Thompson/Cooksferry Queen ... awesome rocker ! ***** 3: Afro Celt Sound/Whirl-Y-Reel 1 ... bizarre blend of afro/irish that just freakin' JAMS !!! ***** 6: Jonatha Brooke/Where Were You? ... at her absolute best ... a MUST have ROCKER. **** 7: Counting Crows/Hanginaround ... Crows come through. *****11: Susan Tedeschi/You Need To Be With Me ... Susan gets down and dirty here ... for your lover. *****14: Asleep At The Wheel/You're From Texas ... texas swing live and ... swingin' ****15: Beck/Tropicalia ... very cool, very strange Beck. (stop me before i change my mind.) *****16: Shivaree/Goodnight Moon ... send THIS to your lover !!! hot ... very, very hot. these 8 exceptional tracks make this Vol. 10 worth having. bonuses if you are a Tom Rush, Bruce Cockburn, Macy Gray fan ... not their best but rare none the less. somewhere between good/excellent. Vol. 11 through Vol. 20 are still available at wxpndotorg/worldcafe for $18+one time ship charge ... so get 'em all and be done with it. other than the ubiquitous David Gray/Babylon ... beautifully done but i'm sick of it now ... a great Phish track Back On The Train ... Steve Earle at his Darkest ... Billy Bragg fans look here ... Leo Kottke singing ... and kinda playing guitar ... solid Indigo Girls track ... Koko Taylor is a STAR !!! best track here. Black & Decker appliances always work
I’ve cut way back on coffee consumption so this is the perfect size coffee maker for me. I use a fairly large mug and this makes 2+ servings. It’s a little larger than a mini coffee maker so it’s much easier to fill, clean, and maintain, and it seems to be a much more substantially made appliance.
