A book that gives you strength

Meditations is a book which people can turn to in difficult times, and it will always provide inspiration and resolve. This is the translation by Maxwell Staniforth from 1964. I prefer this translation above all others. The only drawback is that it does not contain the introduction which is in the original penguin classics version.

Very classic book on Stoicism - - this, along with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, are essential to understanding this philosophy / way of life. It is a good book as a gift - - appeals to anyone.
