its good. couple cons, but overall, fantastic shooter.
Not my favorite campaign in the franchise, but Its a pretty good game. No, its a pretty excellent game. Its my favorite multiplayer in the franchise, its my favorite magnum in the franchise, its got a lot going for it. Now, the cons.
Removing dual wielding was kinda a bummer for me. dual wielding was clunky and weird when it first got introduced, but it really had an awesome reformation in Halo 3, and seeing it disappear entirely in Reach was kind of a bummer. The Battle Rifle disappearing. While canonically, it makes sense, I miss it. Speaking of canonical weapons, the DMR makes no sense. same with a few other weapons, like the Needle Rifle, Spiker, etc. This is a prequel to Halo 1, where NONE of these weapons appeared. This wasn't really a con, just a nerd tangent. A few common complaints about Halo Reach you'll hear around are Weapon Bloom, and Armor lock. Well, you're gonna be hearing me complain about it too. Weapon bloom was really strange when they added it out of nowhere. It had never been in any Halo game before, and I hope it doesnt appear again. with percission weapons, like the magnum or the dmr, you have to space your shots out more, or your accuracy is gonna be seriously messed up. and armor lock is literally the stupidest feature ever. It stops fights in their tracks and makes you have to wait on your opponent. it kinda ruins the pacing in my opinion, but its not downright bad. Overall, Halo Reach is a good game, just not the best in the series for me.
Also, it has almost no reason to be M rated. there's a little human blood from gunshots and that's it, it just barely scrapes up to Mature. I'd rate it a solid 13+
