Cohan would turn over in his grave!
This CD contains some of the worst arrangements of Cohan classics that I have ever heard. These are classic, old songs that don't need, or do well, with modern arrangements. I had naively hoped that the CD would contain copies of the acoustic recordings that George had made of these songs in the 20's! But, they are modern arrangements, by a no-name singer who must have "self published" because they were so bad I can't imagine anyone paying him to record them.... Luckily, it was cheap and in great condition... Probably because nobody would have ever played it twice...

Very blue!
We like this lamp a lot and it is one of three similar lamps we have purchased. It is the darkest color and although we like it a lot, there are some drawbacks to the dark color. When it is off, it looks more purple than blue but the blue comes through when lighted. Because of the dark color, it gives off less light than the lighter colors. I use LED bulbs and, in all three, I have a low lumen bulb in one socket for a mood light and a much higher lumen led in the second socket. I have 100 watt equivalents (15w LEDs) in the second socket. In the two lighter color fixtures, the light is sufficient to read with, in the dark blue fixture it is marginal and if I want to read near it, I will probably have to get a higher lumen led. (I have old eyes so this might not be a problem for a younger person!. The older I get, the more light I need to read comfortable!) Bottom line, the lamp is a good value, looks great, and is of high quality. You can buy it with no reservations, that is, if my "issues" don't bother you.
