Sturdy enough.
They seem sturdy enough to get the job done.

I would recommend this.
Seems pretty strong and well built. I have not used it much yet, why I only gave 4 stars. The swivel function really helps in tight quarters.

correct splash/noise shield for 2013-2014 Escape
2 of 2 found this helpful This is the correct shield for the 2013-2014 Escapes, not sure about 2015. The orange plastic retainer nuts are part #W702438-S300. The Torx head screws are #W702413-S307 (purchased separately) For the two screws on each side use #8X3/4 self tapping screws with a fender washer. This was suggested somewhere and it actually worked well. The heads can be hex or phillips. Be very gentle when tightening screws into new plastic retainers and they hold just fine.
