One way for effective diet for health of the healthy and diabetics.
This is one of many books suggested by Barbara O'Neill on YouTube. I had a course in microbiolgy but Robert Young here deals with fungus. If you like peanut butter you become aware of a certain fungus not completely eradicated always in preparation for the sale of peanuts. I once subscribed to this school of dieting based on plant foods. It is unfriendly to the elimination of carbs from the diet since the main emphasis is on plants. The 7th Day vegetarians may like this diet and even the American Diabetic Association which the ketogenic folk find too permissive with carbs. Diabetics need a good foundation on diet and the best foods to manage glucose control. Myself, I am looking deeply into Jason Fung MD book on THE DIABETES CODE and his numerous lectures at You Tube. Healthy Eating and Weight Loss
The author is a clear and good writer and she is deeply involved with what many people today are preoccupied: weight loss. She has been widely praised for this outstanding book which is perhaps the best introduction to modern nutrition. It is serious stuff based on the most scientific data, it is a pleasant journey to the history of food science and a good revelation of the dark and political side of the food industry.
There is data that connects the medical world with the pharmaceutical and food industry. As many know, sugar has been condemned for several centuries as a poison by physicians, nutritionists and other scientifically based researchers. Carbs are also another form of poison. Food processing contributes greatly to most of our chronic diseases. There is a kind of info suppression to this dark side which Nina beautifully illumines. So to put it briefly, Nina gives us a pellucid understanding of today's political issues in the world of food and health.

Chinese Herbs
This is a fine book that reads medically using the Tao philosophy and terminology. The way physiological changes take place is described in Tao terms. If you are starting Chinese herbs you should go slowly making sure you understand what is meant. You may have to read a few beginning books to grasp the terms and principles of Tao applied to Chinese herbal medicine. This is not an Evelyn Woods reading dynamics book, go slow if necessary to understand how things work. For me it is slow reading.
