Ricoh Caplio R7
4 of 4 found this helpful The Ricoh Caplio R7 has become a bit of a bargain now as Ricoh seem to be on a winner with the design as little has changed since the R5. All that has changed is the continual race to cram in more megapixels. The R7 has 8million of the blighters which is ample for A4 prints. What I like is the ease in which the exposure can be tweaked quickly. The colours can also be adjusted in camera so less post manipulation is required. The 28-200mm lens is sharp and good enough for most situations. The only negative mark is the shutter lag which causes one or two problems at telephoto settings when trying to stop action, but I don't think it's any worse than any other compact of this type. If you can find one for around £60-£70, buy it you won't be disappointed.
