Tailgate Door Switch
This is a very good replacement switch for the obviously failed OEM switch. The only suggestion that I would have is to not dismantle the interior of the tailgate door in order to replace this switch as is suggested by the repair manual. You can cut off the connector of the switch and easily splice the wiring of the old switch to the new switch and you're finished.

1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible

I do my own work on my present vehicle and I thought that this was an opportunity to make some money by making the repairs that were listed in the auction and then selling the vehicle. Oddly enough, as I dig into this car a little more and make the additional repairs that are necessary, I'm starting to like it more and more. I can see a decision coming where I might have to decide on which Jaguar I want to keep and which one I want to sell. I have a lot of 'sweat equity' in both of these cars and will feel terrible when that time comes.
