BMW Manual Trans Shift Tower Mount (1602, 2002, 318i, etc.)

Shift Tower Mount

The original BMW parts broke in half after 34 years! Gearbox started to go into reverse instead of first, exciting! The new parts seem to be OEM quality and there are no longer any mystery shifts! I chose not to remove the exhaust system, cover plate and driveshaft, so the installation was terrible! Frustrating and no room for hands or wrenches. It took many hours to get the formula that worked and only 4 bolts! Might be easier to remove those other parts, in retrospect. Anyway, finished now and the parts work great!

Complete and fine quality!

This fuse box is of fine quality and very complete! All the plugs for use with the different connections on some motorcycles, plus the set up for the hard wired systems, (which my model has!) Quality and proper parts for all eventualities; just what I expect from a product of U.K. origin! A+!

Great, however...

I have not yet assembled my model, I will do that as a Winter project! I have done enough modeling to recognize the quality of this model and know that Tamiya kits are always high quality. My only complaint is the fat gas tank on this model is not the one we have on our U.S. spec RZ 350s! Also the graphics are not what I am used to seeing here. Of course I knew this before purchase. I will have to buy the RZ500 kit and mix things to get the correct parts to complete my US spec RZ350 model!!!
