Almost Perfect for the R7 in Sports Cars
This mount fits and locks in place on the R7 radar detector perfectly where it matters most. Sticks VERY strong to your windshield, and relieves the shakyness found with the double suction cup mount by 99%. It's very solid, and works perfectly with slanted windshields of sports cars. I did have to add small thin strips of double sided tape on the the front upper edge of my detector to prevent it from minor vibrations that were clearly heard from making contact with the windshield, so it's not perfect out of the box for some cars. The silver lining that came out of this small tweak is now my detector has a 3rd contact point with the windshield, adding to it's stability. My only suggestion is to make the mounting tab that locks into the detector longer in length, to help with this fitment issue for other cars. There is a little sideways pivot play in the detector when it's locked in place, but this hasn't been a problem for my usage. In the case of my Hyundai Genesis Coupe, I didn't really even need to bend the mounting tab to make my R7 level for up and down axis. I'm very pleased with it overall.
