Fuel Cap passes CA pressure smog test

Here in CA, at the previous smog test on my 1998 Jaguar XJ8 they said I had to buy a new fuel cap to pass the fuel tank pressure test. Just got around to buying this 2001 cap, which was said to fit. It does, although I removed the little strap because the 1998 car has no place to attach it. The car passed all the tests.
