Basic Firestone Ride-Rite Electric Compressor
0 of 1 found this helpful This unit does not integrate well with new truck wiring systems that are sensitive to cutting or splicing. The overall quality is good, but installation instructions supplied are terrible. You can find much better instructions on Firestone's website. I would invest in newer versions that leverage wireless remote controls to avoid having to drill any holes in your cab. Because the unit is not water proof, or the connections - I mounted the compressor in the my F150's truck bed near the tailgate for ease of service. This required purchasing additional hose. It works, but took a long time to install. New trucks have no room under the hood to mount this unit, so its really designed for the pre-97 era Fords. Plan on spending a full weekend to install.
