Does the trick -- compact format that blends into the background
Initially I was looking for the white finish, but I was too cheap and went for the sand finish. As a bonus, it actually looks better than my other Nest Wifi Point finished in white. As for functionality, the compact size and easy placement is great. Various settings are a little fiddly, as it took multiple attempts for the settings to finally store no sound and light settings.

Converting a T-Mobile AC1900 to a stock Asus AC1900 / RT-AC68U
This is my third AC1900 / RT-C68U and by far the best router I've owned. Flashed the primary router with Asus-Merlin -- awesome way to give you more control over the setup of your home network. Then added two of these routers as nodes to create a WiFi mesh that is superior to the WiFi mesh solutions-in-a-box for far less money and greater control.
Flashing this T-Mobile configured router to a standard AC1900 / RT-AC68U was easy. Search for "Flashing TM-AC1900 to RT-AC68U/P" from bayarea tech pros for a solid step-by-step guide.
