hello all, I started dean blowers out of necessity, got my first 871 in 1995, when i had it freshened at a Detroit repair shop itself destructed right away and decided I would do it myself, well like everyone i talk to I had to learn the hard way, I bought all the supercharger books, articles that were made to scare you away. I found the best info in a motors Manuel, gave all the tool numbers and process for disassembly and reassembly, but they cannot teach you all the differences or what interchanges. the first 10 years of dean blower's was a learn learn learn, 29 years later i still find some things I did not but probably wasn't or isn't important, My CD now DVD, was made just because of this experience. nothing fancy just great info not available anywhere else in the world. I build blowers for anyone that just don't have the time, this keeps me pretty busy. Cost is an delusion for a mistake.
For the cost of $225 its a fair deal. Great deal if it was perfect. Center 2" index ring is undersized . so pulley will never be perfectly centered. The fix is a spacer and machine pulley bigger for a custom fit.
