L'chayim : rhymes with "to fry 'em" : means "to life"
Knowing some Yiddish is an excellent path toward more picturesque speech. This book takes a detailed approach to teaching American Goi's by offering a "sounds like" phrase for each word. An example is KVETCH, to rhyme with "fetch". Correct pronounciation is a huge part of learning another language; this is an approach that very few other books have included.
In addition to prounciation, the remainder of each word's description is more than just a dictionary, it offers one or more meanings, the word used in a sentence, and some history behind it.
An excellent book. I recommend it to anyone.

This purchase has been excellent because the book's title "Mathematics and the Imagination" is exactly what it's about. It gives solutions to mental challenges and explains them in a way that helps the reader conquer them the next time s/he is confronted with such. I recommend it to anyone who is constantly immersed in thought.
An excellent example was having three containers, 8 oz, 5 oz and 3 oz. With only the 8 oz one full, how do you divide the liquid into equal shares?

This Bulova Corporate Exclusive Silver Tone Men's wristwatch is stylish and comfortable. A clean look with a seconds hand. My wife had given me one many years ago and the battery finally depleted. The cost of shipping the watch to a Bulova repair service, paying for the battery replacement, plus the battery, and shipping it back to me, was nearly the same cost as the price of this watch. I hope it works as long as the first one.
