spend more
The good thing about this product is that it's only around $15-20. That way, when you realize a decent creeper seat costs more than $15, you will only have wasted $15.
It kind of works, but the pieces are joined together in a very flimsy way and the screws don't like to stay tight. I suspect it will literally fall apart in short order.

Expected "good" and got "great"
1 of 1 found this helpful I like Knipex products in general, but I wasn't really expecting much from this style of tool even from them. I've used similar-looking crimpers from many brands over the years - usually cheaper than this Knipex one (but this one is still reasonably cheap in my opinion). I expected this to be slightly better. But I was pleasantly surprised - this is significantly better than other crimpers of this style that I've used. I haven't used it a ton yet but I have used every function (cutting, stripping, and crimping) and has worked very well. The strippers seem to be precise and I have not had them clip off extra strands of stranded wire, or clip partway through a solid wire. The cutters - something that almost always suck for this style of tool - work surprisingly well. Not the absolute highest quality stripper, cutter or crimper in the world, but it's the best I have used so far at this price point. The crimping function also works fine, though I don't normally have a problem with the crimping function on the cheaper tools either.
These are also thicker and heavier than most other crimpers of this style, which probably contributes to why the cutter works so well in specific. In some cheap brands, the steel is thin, so it kind of flexes when you try to cut. But this one has nice thick steel and it has not done that when I've used it to cut.
