Lightweight with great features. Very bright when needed.
The lamp is surprisingly lightweight, which is a good thing if you are clamping it to an angled drawing board as I will be. If you are used to steel ones it might feel a little flimsy to some, but it’s ok. There is all the adjustment you would expect and it has a good reach. The clamp is very good, it will handle a standard kitchen worktop. The lamp is very bright on maximum, and it switches on with just a touch, no switch. The dimmer works well, just hold your finger in place on the adjuster and it will cycle up and down – just take your finger off at the required point. It’s pleasantly styled too. In keeping with today’s green energy love affair, when the LEDs fail you will have to throw the entire lamp away, which doesn’t seem an environmentally sensible thing to do if you are concerned about such things. Everything is moving to LED though, so it’s not unusual to see many other lamps go this route. I’m very pleased with it.
