Not and exact replacement

It is not the correct length. When replacing all components from the broken one onto the new one, the auger was too tight and did not turn at all. We had to remove one of the thin metal washers from the original assembly to make it turn at all. Despite being reassembled correctly, all blades in correct orientation, etc. it does NOT crush ice. Only whole cubes are dispensed despite the setting chosen on the control panel.
