What a lovely book this really is, bringing all of Avery's cartoon characters to life. I also purchased a 5 DVD set of his cartoons recently and it would seem that they were only issued by Warner Brothers in the EU, most of which are included in the books filmography. Great songs - and some deserve to be unmemorable.
While looking through the soho, I was surprised at how many I didn’t know. He output was exceptional and he’ll be forever treasured the 12 or more that became standards. However, for volume of work, memorable Melodies you can’t beat Irving Berlin.

An interesting read
John Swenson's Bill Haley biography is interesting and well documented. Haley's music was the first great r&r influence on my life. His rise to the top and inevitable drop to the bottom was fascinating. With proper management and a more open ear to the ideas of others he could have remained a force for many more years.
