No Quality Control
0 of 2 found this helpful With the winch mounted to plate with the 4 bolts provided the aluminum front bar bolts and nuts are too long and can not be assembled! You would need to grind the nuts down to the point they were useless! The short cheaply sewed strap was ripped first try! I installed synthetic rope on winch under tension and learned the rope was too long because the rope was binding against Luther support rods so I unreeled and tried again to spool the rope under tension and resulted in too much rope and/or over capacity rope spool. Ultimately the metal bracket will be used as a template to drill holes in new plate and hopefully with use the binding of the rope will subside and not create a weak point of failure. I admit I was sold on the 2.0 HP but the great value disappeared knowing a mounting plate has to either be fabricated or purchased because of not being able to mount aluminum front bar. A combination of the depth of recessed in aluminum being too deep along with too long of a bolt and requiring very thin nuts makes this a Quality Control Failure. With regards to the synthetic rope, maybe not adding the added thickness of protective jacket on the first 5 revolutions would allow this length of rope to fit the spool without unnecessarily smashing synthetic rope against supporting rods or placing rope under severe tension during spooling is required. It looks nice hence the reason I was duped! Maybe this really is a 2HP motor that was uniquely engineered, but judging by my failed assembly of the provided parts a shadow of doubt has been cast on this entire package!

Expectations Not Met
2 of 2 found this helpful The metal was machined poorly and directly affects your lift & release motion of travel by catching. Installation on 14 in JWBS-CS14 very easy! the 2 bolts are too short not making past nut when combined with flat & lock washer. Mechanical failure when too much tension is applied! This rack and pinion gear system when fully raised may cause metal parts to over lap which causes a loud SNAP when lowering arm!
Thinking of making YouTube video of the mechanical failure of rack gear overlapping platform when in full tension position
