Works great, for a short period of time.

I purchased this item thinking this was the answer, it is but not for the long haul. I was wondering why the 2 clips. Well i found out. Placed the clip on easily worked great, for 2 weeks then popped off. I noticed that the inner side of the clip had spread outward & allowed the clip to come off (this happened because of the hot water softening the clip allowing it to open. So I pushed in on the clip held it for a minute & ran cold water on it to hold the shape. It lasted 2 days & fell off again. After several times of doing this the clip finally broke. Ah reason for the 2nd clip. At this point I slip the clip on when not using original K-Cups, otherwise the clip stays off. This will prolong the life of the clip a little longer. I now know why I see large bags of clips listed. That way when it starts coming off simply throw it away & slip a new one on. To me this is a inconvenience. I wish someone would make a spring steel clip that you could leave on without the risk of it falling off, or at least lasting way way longer. That would be worth 10 to $12.99 investment. I may try to make one myself. As for question 1 above I would have to answer= your choice. As for question 2 if they had a box FAIR that would be my answer, do to the fact that the clip works excellent but does not last. Hope this helps.
