Defective operation
On most occasions the camera doesn't operate with either a fully charged battery or the A/C connection. On the few occasions when it is "operational" the tape cassette compartment only opens sporadically. For the most part it doesn't open when the slide mechanism is activated. Fortunately I was eventually able to get it to open to retrieve a wedding tape that I had put in and saved the loss of a valuable memento.
