super for commuters or tourists!
superb quality and style! On the practical front: Commuters can get a more upright position while the additional weight keeps front wheel securely planted into the pavement on tires. Tourists-I have toured with front only, rear only (the worst!!!), and front and rear panniers (you are carrying way too much stuff way). Yes, counterintuitive, but with wide handlebars and decently low gearing, front rack only touring is the best way to go-panniers clip onto the rails; and your tent, bag, and pad stow up top.

Great for all conditions riding-that includes road!
1 of 1 found this helpful Yes, it looks funny! but when you ride in the drops one has vastly improved control in contrast to a typical road drop bar. If you are lucky enough to own a bike with a sensibly tall headtube, you don't need to ride on the hoods anyway-just ascend on the tops, cruise and descend on the drops. Its a Nitto, so you can enjoy it for decades.

7 speed 70 and 90 cassettes are wonderful!
If you have a good quality 7 speed bicycle these Shimano 70 and 90 level cassettes are great! thick, quality metal yields long life; and larger spacing yields less finicky gearing system.
