THE most definitive biography on one of histories most influential figures

This is probably the most definitive biography on one of histories most enigmatic and influential figures. His household spawned TWO Popes, his son, and his nephew, whom he raised. He is considered to be the "father of the Renaissance", and supported numerous artists of the day, like Raphael, Michelangelo, and even Leonardo da Vinci (to a lesser extent). He was politically astute as well. Unger does a very complete job of telling you just who Lorenzo de Medici was, and why he was important in the historical scheme of things. If this period of history interests you, or if the lives of influential figures in history interests you, then you really shouldn't miss reading this well-researched book.
