Good, entry-level hi-res music player
Downloaded EN user manual to figure out how to change default UI language
Database-building functionality could be faster (CPU?). Will not charge while in user mode; conversely, must be on/booted up to connect to USB for use.

Can't go wrong carrying a Moleskine Planner for old-fashioned note taking!
Moleskine (Moe-lay-skeen-ah) notebooks have always been classic, and the modern-day variety doesn't suffer from the comparison. The paper is still of very good quality and resists bleed-through from the liquid/gel pens that I prefer. Moleskine has both page-a-day and week-at-a-glance type diary planners, either w/hardback covers or soft, and in both 12-month (Jan-Dec of the same year, of course) and 18-month (July through Dec. of the following year) versions, and offered in three different sizes: small (pocket), medium and large. I like them all, but the pocket versions are truly the handiest for me and fit in a small fanny pack. I also recommend their City Guides for frequent travelers to various global capitals.

The best value for your money in an Android smartphone -- Period.
Paid a bit extra to get the Dual-SIM XT1033 model (usually Euro only), and it works great on GSM/3G Data here in the U.S. You can get an 8 GB U.S.-only model straight from Google for less $.
The 4.5-inch, 720p screen is clear, bright, and just the right size for most women or those with smaller hands. The battery life, build quality and ergonomics are all excellent; in fact, better than many cell phones at twice this price. The removable back shell makes it both customizable and extensible (with an optional spare battery). All in all, the best value android phone out there right now. Upcoming Moto E may be even CHEAPER!
