Submersible? Yes...
First day of use it went body surfing in a wave in the ocean trying to get a kayak past the breaker, but that is another story... After being submerged, it still performed well for the whole morning fishing, was able to keep in contact with friends that were fishing on the pier near by. I was able to test the range on top of a local hill to our house and we found it to have clear reception, distance 1.5 miles. Didn't hear much difference with regular ptt and boost, but that could be we may have been too close. On ours the charging light goes off after they are fully charged. A Note: After fishing, we rinsed off the sand that was all around the radio, found that the audio was very quiet compared to the other radio that wasn't submerged. After shaking out what water was in the cracks by the speaker, we took a little air and blew out the rest. Another Note: we used compressed air that we use on our computers, not the compressed air for air tools!!! The audio came back to normal, as I believe water makes a good muffler. Hope this helps.

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB Internal 2.5" SSD
1 of 2 found this helpful Like Night and Day! I own a HP P6516F with Window 7, that I bought back in 2010. Over the years I have updated my graphics card, power supply and maxed out my ram. My hard drive started getting a little slow here about Dec 2017, pushing my luck there. After reading all these great reviews about this EVO, I though I'd try it myself, before dumping a couple grand for another decent PC, besides I don't like Windows 10. What a Difference. Load time cut 2/3s, what use to take 3 1/2 minutes to get to my desk top, now takes just under a minute. I can only imagine what the 950 Pro can do in these newer M.2 units, but that will be down the road a bit, when I can afford a decent gaming PC. Highly Recommended if you're wanting to keep an older PC a little longer.
