Surprisigly nice for the money
The Baoer 516 appears to have a lacquered metal body making it pleasantly heavier than expected. The red finish on my pen is excellent. The steel nib is roughly a fine-medium and actually has a tiny bit of flex, allowing some line variation. When new it was slightly scratchy, but it required only a bit of smoothing with micromesh. Nib and feed are friction fit in the section. The military-style clip is nicely spring-loaded, but results in the cap not being airtight. If I use the pen every two or three days this is not a problem. If it sits much longer, the nib can dry out. The included converter works very well. In all, this is a lot of fountain pen for the money.

For diehard fans only
Although some of this 2-CD set occasionally has its moments, overall it has a sort of plodding, joyless quality that makes it a somewhat difficult listen. Part of this is no doubt due to the use of synthesized drums throughout that seem very simplistically programmed and at times have a droning and headache-inducing quality. However, the idea of a song-by-song remake of the controversial and somewhat unloveable "Tusk" album by Fleetwood Mac probably sounded better on paper than in reality. On balance, the album lacks the crispness, energy, humor and wit of the best CVB releases.

A fatally flawed flagship
The Sailor King of Pen has a really fabulous nib. It is a little springy, writes on the pleasingly wet side, and has the perfect amount of feedback for me. Sadly because mine is a wet-writing medium, it seems I am constantly refilling this pen. At this price point, Sailor really needs to offer a higher capacity ink delivery system; either a larger converter or a Realo-style piston. Until they do, the King of Pen will always lag behind the true flagship fountain pens like the Pelikan M1000 or Montblanc 149.
