Dual Fire means it uses a SINGLE ignition coil.
0 of 1 found this helpful This points replacement works as advertised. It is exactly compatible with my 1971 XLH. One point of confusion for me is that this one is called "dual fire" which has a different meaning from what I am used to. To me, dual fire ignitions have two coils. Whereas these devices are named just the opposite. So, I purchased a "single fire" one first and then found out it required two coils. UGH. However, rather that completely uninstalling the single fire version, I just took the single fire rotor out and the dual fire rotor in. Using the black wire from single fire was wired up to the single coil and it ran just fine. I capped off the single fire white wire and all is well.

Perfect rebuild kit!
Perfect rebuild kit. But, the new seals increase the fork stiction significantly. Combat this by using Ohlins 5 weight fork oil. Nothing better.

This is a Very nice sling. Leather is soft and supple. Build is high quality.
