helpful review, read if looking to buy one, accurate research and info
1 of 1 found this helpful OK everyone I bought a replacement for my 40gb that had failed after 7 years. The console I had received was a practically brand new 120gb slim, it plays well, much quieter like everyone says and when there is a lot happening in the game the frame rate doesn`t slow down and loading seems to go way faster, for example the loading screen when continuing The Last Of Us took a few seconds compared to almost two minutes. It also boast a better design still keeping the console cool ( after 5 hours) and placing the vents in a smarter point to reduce dust flowing into the console, the old model had so many air vents for dust to go through, the back, front, both sides, it was practically made of mesh with a solid top and bottom. For anyone interested in acquiring a ps3 look for a slim model not only do they chew much less electricity and do the same thing they also have improved hardware making them much more impervious to the YLOD ( yellow light of death), I had done my research and for many companies in Australia (where I am), America and Japan and the numbers are all pretty much same for every 100 ps3 consoles they receive for repair 7-10 of those are slim models. To wrap this up the only down side to the slim model is they do not play ps1/2 games so I have heard. I have not tried this for the only reason that makes sense if you play those games on an HD tv, even with an emulator ( most emulators) the pixilation looks horrible and that's because your old CRT televisions displays differently at a 1:1 ratio which is why on an HD tv ( LCD, Plasma or what ever) that is 16:9 or 3:4 etc. the pixilation is distorted. So if you plan on buying this console or the older ps3 model in hopes to play ps1/2 games I wouldn`t be doing that because most of those popular games you can download on the play station network from a few dollars to no more than about $15 for upscaled versions. Some games are metal gear solid, odd world, tomb raider, crash bandicoot etc. and many more classics.

Resident Evil Revelation 2 Box Set full game
First of all it is the entire game which includes the main four chapters and two extra chapters. Game play was great I thought, a mix between RE5 and Code Veronica control themes in how you upgrade your weapons. In saying that it is behind the back camera like RE4 ( which is what I much prefer) so don`t get confused, this game goes back to those jump scare tactics as best as possible and I think the balance between that and not feeding you too much ammo makes for an excellent play. The story is quite good and isn`t so action based so horror fans welcome and there is a slight tweak in endings depending on how you`ve played the game ( yes no spoilers). Raid mode is much like mercenaries other than the fact that you upgrade your weapons and abilities and I`d say its done well but enemies start off too slow in the beginning difficulty levels but works its way up so not too much of a drag there. The two extra chapters are unique to the main story, Moira`s extra chapter is really good and tells the story between Clair`s chapters and Barry`s. All in all the game last a while I`d give this an 8/10 and is well worth getting.
