Speedway Motors Runtz Transistor 12 Volt Negative Ground to 6 Volt Reducer

To much voltage

The reducer looked like a well designed unit but it failed to reduce the voltage. After I attached it to the fuel gauge and made sure I had a good ground I checked the voltage and it was 9.3 volts. I took the reducer back off and bench tested it and the reduced voltage was the same 9.3 volts. I instead purchased a NOS Ford gauge voltage reducer and now my 54 Ford gas gauge works perfect
