TEAC 3340S Open Reel Tape Deck
Excellent tape deck and in very good working order. The sound quality is outstanding especially when I record at 15 IPS. It's a semi professional machine and records great. The only problem is sometimes the pinch roller gets stuck and doesn't move to the capstan. This is due to it having lubricant that's some 50 years old and dry. I found a procedure online which allowed me to resolve it myself, so I didn't have to take it to a pro. Keep in mind this machine is very heavy, weighs over 62 pounds, not easy to move, but built to last. I believe TEAC and Tascam,(both the same company ) made the best open reel tape decks and most durable.
