F2 Error
I was getting an F2 error on my Thermidorian electric oven SMW272B. Bosch has obsoleted the temp sensor (F2 error indicates this sensor is bad). I bought this sensor hoping it would work. IT DID! There is an issue with installation. The ceramic wire nuts that come with it are too large for Th very fine wires used in this sensor. After a few tries at using the wire nuts, i ended up sliding heat shrink tubing over the leads, soldering the new sensor to the existing wires, and putting the heat shrink tubing over the solder joints. (In my oven, the hole in the back of the oven is too small top push the wire nuts through so this was also a reason to solder with heat shrink tubing. I also had to calibrate the oven temperature as the oven was running about 10 degrees cold with the new sensor but that is very easy to do. Good news is the oven works with no errors so far!
