I returned it. NOT better than nothing.
Headphones have to "tune-in" the base unit via a "tune" knob just under the "Volume" knob on right earpiece. It is easy to de-tune the headphones resulting in a burst of harsh noise much louder than the music it had been playing. The headphones also lost contact with the base when only 20 feet away with no metal between. They are not loud enough. They do not fit around the ear, they lie flat upon the ear like a board. The (too-thin) foam ear cushions twist off too easily.
