1 of 1 found this helpful As a rule I hate spoof movies. This one is the exception that proves the rule. I think the difference is that so many spoof movies are just mocking and even if a phrase or scene is funny, it none-the-less leaves an uncomfortable feeling in your heart because everyone knows what it is to be the butt of someone else's joke and no one likes it. The difference here is that while quite obviously a take off on Star Trek and the peculariar world of Trekkies, or Trekkers as the case may be, this one has an actual story in its own right. So rather than just mocking something else, they use the genre to develop their own story - and a very entertaining one at that. All the actors do a super job with their roles and seem to have a good rapport as a cast. I snorked myself silly rewatching this recently and I think whether you like Star Trek or not this is one you can enjoy. And enjoy with the whole family without any of those nasty uncomfortable moments. You know the ones, where you either have to turn off the TV altogether or at minimum have a "damage control" talk afterwards.

2 of 2 found this helpful The performances of this cast really are of the highest caliber. Angelica Huston and Raul Julia are outstanding, Christina Ricci does an excellent job. Joan Cusack turns in yet another winner. Though the "darkness" of these movies will no doubt be off putting to some religious folks I would still encourage you to see the forest for the trees. First of all, this is comedy and excellent comedy at that. It doesn't rely on cussing or cheap gore or sexual innuendo, nor even bodily functions to get a laugh. Second the underlying theme is indeed family. They love and are devoted to each oher, willing to sacrifice themselves and their individual happiness for the good of the family. It was actually quite surprising to us to realize how much more wholesome this family is and how much more worthy of emulation than so much of the muck we are presented with. And with all that it never is preachy. Just good old-fashioned family fun that you can watch without embarrassment with your children AND the grandparents. Not too often you can say that.

This product makes it simple to have a water bottle on any bicycle. It's very easy to transfer from bike to bike.
I've been happily using a vintage version of this product for a long time and I needed to add a second one. I didn't expect the new one to equal or surpass the old one in quality but it obviously does. I was very glad to find out that it is still available and better than ever. If you have several bikes or even one bike without mounting lugs this product is a problem solver.
