I have the 38mm SWC and wondered how different the 30mm would be. A lot. This lens gives you the widest view available on medium format in a German made Zeiss lens. It just doesn't get better. It does have a bit of distortion (it is a "fisheye"), but compared to even the best fisheye lenses on small format cameras, this is a radically better quality image.
