Good quality locknut
These nuts are flat, not convex as some cheaper nuts that I have used before. Being flat allows the nut to grip and lock onto electrical glands where only a small amount of thread protrudes into a junction box. The points around the nut are sharp, not rounded, providing good grip when using a dedicated locknut spanner.
I would recommend these locknuts.

A good quality connector
A quality replacement for the original fly moulded connector. The sleeve fits tightly around the Flymo cable so should prevent any water ingress. The cap has the same lip on the inside as the original so it locks against the socket on the lawn mower.

Replacement Clip
A good quality replacement clip that does the job. Just a little expensive for a clip.
