I grew up out in the country, then moved to the city. I m all about learning new skills and meeting new people. I m a visual artist, and a collector of things, but believe at some point some relics need to be passed on, and new ones discovered.

Closest medium to painting digitally
2 of 2 found this helpful Quick and easy to clean, I've always been a fan of gouache for it's solid matte finish. I've used many mediums, from oils to watercolor, and acrylic, to digital and complex 3D software. These gouache paints differ from traditional gouache in the sense they have an acrylic binder, while still retaining the nice matte 'chalkboard' finish.
Unlike traditional gouache, they seem to have more richness in colour when they dry, and are less-reactive to water after having already dried; this allows better layering and blending over dried layers, with watered-down gouache.
With traditional gouache, it's easier to reactivate blobs of the paint on the palette with water, using an old rough brush loaded with water and scrubbing at it, but that is less the case with acrylic gouache, so I recommend using only what is needed; mixing to the consistency of cream is the best way to get the purest gouache mix.
Overall I'm very happy with this product, and the speed in which it was delivered. There is much fun to be had, painting with this quick drying, convenient medium.

Why buy from pretentious Companies who charge too much for fine quality brushes?
These are finely crafted brushes that hold a point and edge, and fluid, just like the "fabled" Series 7 from a certain company. After purchasing these brushes and giving them some good tests for retaining of edge and shape while holding fluid, and testing them on varying surfaces, I can assure any artists or creative types out there, that the Russian brush manufacturer has my devout attention, from a fellow northern country.
It is worth buying from the Russian Federation, they are a hard working people and have a great culture and history of beauty in manufacturing and industry.
