Indispensible Blender
Smoothies? Quick and smooooooooth. Other blenders I've tried won't even puree ice properly or quickly - and here this wonder machine quickly dissolves stuff like frozen almonds, yogurt, ice, frozen mango and berries into a smoothie better than any smoothie you can buy. Ice cream in less than 4 minutes. Make watermelon juice, pineapple juice, mango juice......juice possibilities are endless. If you get the blender with the dry food blending container, you can make nut butter (ever had Brazil nut butter?) or grind grain into flour in just seconds. I use the Healthy Start cookbook from The Weimar Institute (the best "starter" vegan cookbook you can get, in my opinion), and make sauces from whole raw cashews - this Vitamix Super 5000 blends these raw cashews into a sauce that is smoother than silk. Quick to clean up afterwards, too: put warm water and dish soap in, start the blender, then rinse. The first one I bought was 20 years old, and I used it for 10 years, then gave it to a friend when I got a deal on a new one at a fair. The old one was still in perfect working order, but I wanted the one with the grain/dry food grinder. The VitaMix Super 5000 (the description says "1 speed" but the one I got has more speeds) I just bought on Ebay is for a friend's housewarming. I know she is going to love it!

Don't Buy This Unless You're a Professional Dancer
This is the worst dance video I've ever seen. The box claims "even a non-dancer" can "enjoy" the "simple" workout. The instructor starts with several simple steps but within just 20 seconds is adding arm, hip, shoulder, leg, and back movements that are never described or shown in such a way that one could follow along. Poor descriptions of what she is doing, coupled with the fast pace and constant additions to movements make this thing a disaster. Within just 1-2 minutes into the "easy" portion, you are viewing 3 professional dancers (the instructor and 2 others) doing a difficult professionally choreographed routine, and this routine is very fast and has step changes (involving every part of the body) every 5-15 seconds or so. There is no way that anyone who doesn't dance professionally could do even the "easy" part of the video. What a waste of time and money. BYW, I have taken many cardio dance classes, up to intermediate level - at least one or two of the steps should have been familiar or doable. Alas, with too many fast changes, too many complex movements from the first few minutes, and no real instruction, nothing is familiar or doable.

Presto HomeAde Electric Lemonade Maker Model 02621 Citrus Juicer Mixer NEW

So glad I found this Lemonade Maker!
This is so much better than squeezing lemons and limes with the glass citrus squeezer. Wash, cut them in half, set up the lemonade maker - it takes a minute - and within a few minutes, you have juice from 6 or 7 lemons. The lemonade maker was in a perfect box, with instructions, exactly as described. It arrived very quickly, too. I may have to buy this lemonade maker for a gift next: I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want one.
