Rear spring conversion bmw x5
1 of 1 found this helpful Opening the box the springs and shocks look great. They work fantastic as well. There was a couple of things I didn't like one of which I modified to work better.
First the spring, I wish it was a bit flatter on the ends so that the rubber would sit on better.
Second, there is a hard plastic 55mm round puck that is suppose to be screwed in place at the bottom of the spring in the perch to prevent the spring from shifting but the hole in the perch is a 30mm hole and with a 1/2 bolt in the centre the spring would still shift and move with vibrations and bumps. So I modified the plastic puck with a hand router to have a 1/4" deep x 30mm ring to slip in the 30mm perch and it worked great.
I would still recommend this kit as I feel it does have a good quality build for the price just could use a bit more thought when they put it together.
